- HANGING AMBIENT LIGHT
Brief: To make an ambient lighting inspired from bio mimicry.
Inspiration: Starfishes.
User: Small children.
Dimensions: MM (mili meters)
Why starfish? A starfish has no bones, they have nervous systems which makes it easier for them to grasp onto their prey or a rock (which is the ball).
Materials used: 2 plastic balls, 2 spray paint cans (Red & green colour), 1 small light (white colour) and wire.
Bio mimicry: Finding solutions to problems in life by drawing inspiration from the nature around us.
Brief backstory: Small children are often scared of the dark, complain about monsters under their bed and are unable to sleep most of the time. The focus was to help them sleep peacefully at night by creating a light which helps them to relax.

Inspiration: Starfish.
User: Students (Preferably those who study late night) and senior citizens.
Why starfish? They have the ability to move in any direction without having to move their body.
Dimensions: MM (mili meters)

Bio mimicry: Solving human problems by drawing inspirations from the nature around us.
Brief backstory: Quite often students and senior citizens face a similar issue of finding the switch to turn on the lights of their room to go to the washroom or anywhere in the house. Instead of switching on the light of their room & disturbing others, this portable light inspired from a starfish helps them to move around the house with ease.
